FHLB Des Moines President/CEO, Kris Williams, will provide an overview of the current state of the FHLBank system and the FHLB Des Moines. She will also discuss the potential for changes resulting from the FHFA’s review of the FHLBank system and discuss the ramifications of these changes.  She will end the session with an open forum Q&A session.

Kristina “Kris” Williams is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Kris joined FHLB Des Moines in January 2020. She began her association with the Federal Home Loan Bank System in 2004.

Prior to her current role, she served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, a position she held from 2011-2019. In that role, Kris had responsibility for all member-facing departments, including community investment, communications, bank operations, MPF, member services and information technology. In her 15 years with FHLB Pittsburgh she also held the positions of Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Financial Officer and acting Chief Risk Officer.

Prior to working for FHLB Pittsburgh, Kris spent 12 years with PNC Financial Services in its wholesale bank and six years in public accounting.
