Minnesota Lakes Bank Location: Delano, MN Job Title: Mortgage Lender Overview: Minnesota Lakes Bank, a family-owned community bank, is seeking an experienced mortgage lender. Candidate must be well-versed in secondary market & Freddie Mac loan origination as well as in-house mortgage, real estate, construction and home equity lending. Responsibilities: Service mortgage loan customers •Originate and underwrite mortgage loan applications •Analyze customer’s financial information for credit worthiness •Make credit decisions within loan policy guidelines and lending limits •Ensure timely application process and follow through to closing •Work with loan team to ensure all required compliance documentation is in order •Negotiate terms and structure loan financing based on risk factors for approval within appropriate levels of authority •Analyze loan markets and develop referral networks to locate potential prospects for loans Develop and grow the bank’s book of business by drawing on a network of personal and business contacts, business experience and knowledge of the bank’s products and services •Promote the bank’s image through community networking and actively participating in community events and activities •Participate in organizations that improve the quality of life in the communities we serve •Advise current and prospective customers on the bank’s products & services that would be best suited to meet their personal financial needs Provide banking services for all customers •Assist walk-in and phone customers with banking or loan-related questions Other Duties •Open and close bank as scheduled, following security guidelines and insuring employees are prepared for customers •Ensure adequate loan officer coverage at each location •Ensure open communication between loan officers, loan processors and other staff •Assist with answering phones when necessary; field incoming calls and transfer to appropriate person or department •Be attentive and mindful of lobby traffic; assist and direct customers to appropriate person or department •Provide support to other employees •Serve as a positive role model to other bank staff, always demonstrating the bank’s internal & external values Perform other duties as directed by management Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 5 years of mortgage lending experience. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting preferred.
