SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting the Retail Branch Manager perform daily operations of the bank. Accurately processes financial transactions and regularly opens new accounts. Provides exceptional customer service to current and potential customers. Assists in providing effective training on all aspects of teller duties to ensure minimal errors, accurate balancing and compliance with applicable regulations. Resolves conflicts and effectively problem solves. Coordinates department workflow and schedules tellers for optimum productivity and customer service.

Responsibilities:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position works under the direction of Retail Branch Manager to manage teller staff. Properly develop and demonstrate management skills, dealing with conflict, delegate authority, assist with employee reviews and help reinforce minimum expectations for employees. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Persons in this position must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau loan originator qualification requirements and must comply with The Bank of Elk River policy related to these requirements. The loan originator qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides exceptional customer service to current and potential customers, processes customer transactions accurately and efficiently and responds to customer inquiries in an efficient, timely and courteous manner. Acts as a key resource to the branch and bank manager. Assists manager in various areas: training new hires, coaching tellers, achieving branch goals, backing up tellers as needed and scheduling and verifying ADP. Knowledge of consumer loan process and compliance regulations. Has the ability to complete and underwrite personal loan applications. Able to identify past due loans and collect payment on delinquent loans. Has a strong understanding of bank policies and procedures. Assists and completes branch internal audit duties on a regular basis. Regularly opens new accounts which include: checking, savings, business and CD/IRAs. Actively looks for opportunities to cross sell products and services including making referrals to meet customer’s needs.

Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years job related experience. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license may be required.
