Northern State Bank of Virginia Location: Virginia, MN Job Title: Human Resource Specialist Overview: This is a part-time position with potential full-time Responsibilities: • Prepare payroll data, analyze input, and submit for process • Administer and maintain employee benefit programs such as retirement plans, health care plans, life insurance plans, disability programs, and 401(k) • Maintain and reconcile PTO records • Hire employees, screen resumes/applications, manage onboard and exit processes, and manage employee handbook • Assure company compliance with provisions of employee retirement accounts • Manage reports and applications required to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as IRS, and other regulatory agencies • Process benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure resolution • Stay apprised of federal, state, and local compensation, benefits, and wage and hour laws and regulations to ensure compliance • Maintain employee records • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and bank policies and procedures • Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field and/or a minimum of three years job-related experience • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices in the Human Resources arena • Superior written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate in an objective manner • Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality • Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgment, tact, and discretion • Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving • High level of accuracy and timeliness • Understanding of state and federal employment and anti-discrimination law regulations • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows Deadline: 12/15/2022 How to Apply: Please send or email resume to • Northern State Bank of Virginia • Attn: Human Resources • 600 Chestnut Street • Virginia, MN 55792 • [email protected] • Northern State Bank of Virginia is an Equal Opportunity Employer of women, minorities, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
