Loan Processor

Overview:
Performs various administrative duties involved in the processing of loans, including the preparation of more complex loans, documents, calculations, filing, recordkeeping, and proofreading. Investigates, documents, and maintains credit histories for customer accounts.

Responsibilities:
Perform a Variety of Loan Processing Duties:•Assist with obtaining required information for loan applicants regarding appraisals, credit reports, title work, payoffs/subordinations, flood certification, tax transcripts, homeowner’s insurance, and any other pertinent information necessary for the loan file•Process and verify documents received for loans and update files/systems per the information•Input and update required customer information into loan origination software•Upload loans from loan origination software•Assist with preparing closing documents or requests•Assist post-closing with follow up on missing or incorrect documentation when needed•Answer questions from loan officers and customers pertaining to loans in process, potential loan requests, and general information•Completes and prints appropriate disclosures for all loan applications, and works with loan officer to deliver in timely fashion to applicant•Assist loan officer in requesting and following up on missing documentation•Assist in arranging/coordinating loan closings with lender, title closer, loan officer, borrowers, and realtors•Gather and deliver appropriate documentation to compliance department for tracking and reporting•Perform any other duties as requested by management to assist other departments, as necessary•Follow up on receipt of final title policies and recorded mortgages and deliver to final lender•Scan/upload documents into archive system•Track insurance to ensure collateral has coverage•Prepare/provide monthly reporting to the SBA for qualifying SBA loans• Check loan documentation uploaded into the core system to ensure accuracy •Release collateral when loan is paid off & send correspondence to customer•Pay invoices associated with closed loans•Assist with escrow loans, process insurance & tax disbursements and conduct annual analysis •Serve as back up for other functions in the department

Requirements:
A minimum of three years of experience in banking and/or customer service-related field; previous loan processing experience is preferred
