Compliance and compliance officer support are two of the most significant issues facing our bank members today.

ICBM Compliance Forum groups are kept small to allow for individualized attention. Members help establish priorities and topics. The format divides the time between topical presentations, small group discussions, and networking with other compliance professionals.

Forum subscribers also have exclusive access to the Compliance Forum Community, where forum members can interact and post questions to facilitator and peers via the online discussion board.

The winter edition of IMPACT highlights the important work all Minnesota community banks performed getting critical relief dollars to small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program. The community banks featured in this edition are representative of the entire industry in Minnesota. We hope after reading the stories culled from five community banks that you are inspired to share your story with us, your customers — and with lawmakers who need frequent reminders about how important local banks are to the success of the state’s economy.
We also hope you’ll take note of the column penned by 2021-22 ICBM Chair Anita Drentlaw, who lays out an important call to action as the CFPB considers changes to a HMDA rule.

Has your bank experienced debit card fraud? Have you sold mortgage loans to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac? Have you ever entered an agreement with another bank to prepare loan documents? Has your bank increased the starting salary for entry level staffers? (If so, have you bumped the pay for current staff members to keep them from leaving?) Is your bank requiring the Covid-19 vaccine, requiring employees to wear masks, or are you getting pushback on requiring proof of vaccination? Good questions!
ICBM Connected Communities is an information sharing hub created for members to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas. Are you using it to find guidance? Are you sharing your ideas and experiences? Help yourselves and help others by participating in the discussion forum designed exclusively for Minnesota community bankers.
